About BlueBird

BlueBird was founded in 2007 to provide not just high level marketing and sales consultancy for technology companies across the EMEA region, but also to provide practical programs to deliver the advice we give.  BlueBird has been built from understanding the sharp end of the business from years of successful sales and marketing in both good and bad market conditions. Having learnt the hard way how to do this we can now offer our clients a “short circuit” to avoid the pitfalls and put effective programs in place to deliver against sales targets.


Our success is built with our client’s success, we look for deep and long term programs that add true value, not just fly-by-night engagements to get appointments or offer theoretical sales and market approaches in a nice looking report. Our expertise is generic for all technology organisations entering or growing in their target markets, however our deeper expertise has been in the service provider and communications market.  


Management Team

Justin van der Lande – Director & Founder

Justin has over 20 years experience of marketing, sales and product management in the IT and Telecoms market. He provides strategic marketing support for the leading Telecoms associations the TM Forum, which has over 700 members across vendors and service providers globally.

Having a degree in Management Science and Computer studies, his initial role at NCR/AT&T was in customer support, but moved into the Financial Sales Division and promoted to head-up product sales for networking products selling the UK major financial institutions.

Justin has worked in a number of OSS/ BSS software start-up organisations as Head of  Marketing, globally or regionally that include: Nexagent, Psytechnics, Granite Systems and Micromuse (now part of IBM). He has also worked in product marketing functions for hardware companies Retix (Sonoma Systems, now part on Nortel) and Specialix.

He founded BlueBird in 2007 to provide companies either new or established in the EMEA region with industry marketing support. This has developed to now provide telemarketing services and sales consultancy.
